Maggie's Second Birthday

In the first part of June, cousin Maggie celebrated her second birthday party. It was so much fun. Grace slept through most of it, but the big and bigger kids loved it. We had water fights and decorated cupcakes. Some of the icing actually made it onto the cupcakes.

I have learned there are two types of people in the world. Those who like the icing and those who like the cupcake. I guess there is a third group - those that don't like the icing or the cupcake. That group really doesn't count since they are obviously not normal. I am a proud member of the first group - the icing group. In my opinion, the only reason the cupcake is there is to hold as much icing as possible. Luckily we don't have a picture of the cupcake I decorated. There was a Mt. Everest of icing on top of it. To be honest, I don't even remember if I actually ate the cake part...

First we have the water fun. The big kids filling the guns and throwing the water toys.

Group shot. That's Dora floating in the upper right.

That's the birthday girl in the background bringing back the water toys that have been thrown out. It's it awful when you play fetch with your kids. Poor Grace - you know we'll end up doing it with her. I just hope she can get to it before Cinco.

Decorating the cupcake with Mom.

I'm a cutie!

Dancing - sugar is a good thing!

She received a fairy outfit from her cousins. Everyone should have a fairy outfit. I wonder where I could find one for myself? Would it look good with cowboy boots?

And she received a tricycle from Grandpa Danny and Oma Gretchen. She'll be speeding down the driveway in no time.

And lastly we have Cousin Carly. Gotta love that purse. She is a diva in the making.
