During our trip to Tennessee, one of our first stops was to visit with Aunt Jackie and Uncle Jim. I grew-up just down the road from them. Jackie is actually my grandmother's sister. But she was a lot younger than my grandmother. Meaning some of her kids and I are in the same age range. My cousins.
Now there was a big discussion about the term cousins. First cousins, second cousins, first cousins once removed, first cousins twice removed... you get the idea. I have no idea of our formal affiliation, I just know we are all cousins!
I always liked going to Aunt Jackie's house. They always had a variety of animals that I loved to play with. Everything from hamsters to pot belly pigs. I think all of the strays knew they would be fed and cared for if they hung around long enough. The house was always active and lively. And you knew you were loved.
Aunt Jackie loves the photos of Grace with her tongue sticking out. So I had to pick this one. It's perfect.
I'm not sure what story Uncle Jim is telling Grace, but she is enjoying it.
