2004 Jul - Dec

July was extremely busy for us. In the beginning of July, I had a business trip to San Francisco and Tim joined me. It was a wonderful weekend. Mainly because on bended knee, Tim asked me to marry him. Obviously I said yes! We were at the end of a pier and he was trying to get me to sit down on a bench. I was wearing my fabulous new pink coat and was not about to sit on the bird poop covered bench. If I had known, I would have sit down. Oh well. Here we are right after he asked.

I really wanted to see Alcatraz, but this was as close as we got. Next time. Here I am beside Lombard Street, the crazy curvy street, on the left.

We walked forever that day. I joked the only reason he asked me to marry him was so I wouldn't fuss about all of the walking! Tim and I are at the base of Coit Tower.

We eventually had to return to Texas. Tim wanted to tell everyone. My parents were coming in for a visit the next weekend, so I convinced him to wait. We would try to get all of the parents together to tell them at the same time. Little did he know I had planned a surprise birthday party for him which all of the parents were going to attend. So for a week, I had to keep Tim in the dark about the party and keep all of our family and friends in the dark about the engagement. Nutty! The night of the party arrived and I was hustling Tim to get ready. Which was strange, because as most of you know, I'm not exactly driven by the clock. We made it and he was surprised. Then we surprised everyone with our news! It was a fun evening. Here we are at dinner at H3.

This is Tim with his mom, Kay, and brother, John. You can't tell from this picture, but Tim definitely takes after his mom.

After dinner, we strolled up the street to Pearl's to continue the celebration. Here we are dancing.

In September, I accepted a new position. It was hard to leave my old job because I made some great friends and received a wealth of professional experiences and knowledge. Here I am with Bob, my old boss, and Lori. I think we went to Riscky's in downtown Fort Worth. Lori and I remained friends and actually work at the same company once again.

Here's Chuck and Angela at the farewell happy hour at the Pour House. I worked with Chuck at the company I was leaving. Then I worked with Angela at my new company. They have since moved to the northeast and we miss them terribly.

Tim also joined the farewell happy hour. Here we are celebrating my new adventure.

In November, I wanted to add some color to the house. Basically paint the walls. I wanted to hire someone, but not Tim. He thought he could do it. And he did an awesome job. Here is a little section where we were testing the color. It's no wonder I fell in love with him. We also had a longhorn for a while, but I didn't get a picture of him.

We had a couple of wedding showers in November also. The first of which was held in San Antonio. As you can see, we love our colorful boots!

We headed to Tennessee for Thanksgiving and the second wedding shower of the month. Here the family has gathered at Pawpaw's house for Thanksgiving dinner.

The shower was hosted a few days later at a local eatery. We were so thankful everyone made it out on such a wet and dreary day. Here we are at the shower.

As the months passed, we looked at seveal options for our wedding. But once we started to understand what all was involved in planning a wedding, we became overwhelmed. We had already decided to go to Hawaii for the honeymoon. The honeymoon trip turned into the wedding/honeymoon trip. Yes, we opted for a destination wedding.

December was upon us before we knew it. Since we were all headed to a much warmer climate, we gave everyone flip-flops for Christmas. Here John and Annie, Tim's brother and his wife, are trying theirs on.

I received a tropical Santa Christmas tree ornament. Loved him in his grass skirt!

Finally, here are the "cousins" at Christmas. Morgan and Maddie.

Next, we have a very memorable 2005.
