2004 was definitely an eventful year for us...as you will see.
In March, Morgan was still hanging in there and playing with her Christmas present. Here's a picture of her with the hedgehog.
Also in March, my friend Candy was in town for business. She decided to stay the weekend and visit us. Heather joined Candy and I in Dallas for a little fun. Here's a picture of the three of us.
Again in March, we joined a group of friends out for a fun evening in the Stockyards. If I am not mistaken, I think we were celebrating Mark P.'s birthday. We started at H3 with a great dinner. Here's the dinner crew, the birthday boy is standing up with Kelly in front of him, Sara is on the far left, and Julie is in the front smiling big for the camera.
Then we headed across the street to the White Elephant for some great music. In case you didn't know, the White Elephant was the local bar in all of the Walker, Texas Ranger episodes. Unfortunately Chuck Norris was not there on this evening. Here's a picture of Tim and I at the White Elephant.
In April, my folks (Sharon and Bill) came for a visit. I think at this point, Mom was wondering if Tim was going to eventually be her son-in-law. Here's a picture of my folks at la Madeleine, one of their favorite places to eat when they visit.
In May, Tim and I traveled to Maryland for Brad and Kym's wedding (Tim's step-brother). I should also mention that this was the year of the 17-year cicadas. Basically, this particular cicada only hatches once every 17 years. They were all over the place. They were green with bright red eyes. While they didn't pose any threat, I must admit I didn't like these huge things flying into me or landing on me.
Since we were so close to their home, my aunt and uncle, Darla and Bob, met up with us for a day of sight seeing at the Smithsonian. Here's a picture of Darla and Bob after our day of fun.
The next day, we attended the beautiful outdoor wedding. Luckily, there were no cicada issues! Here's a picture of Tim with the grandmother of the groom, Omie.
In June, our friend Sara accepted a new position that would take her to St. Joseph, MO. While this was a great opportunity for Sara, we were very sad to see her go. Of course we had to have a going away bash. Here's a picture of Sara and I at the party.
More fun and mayhem to come!
