Then we celebrated Tim's birthday. We had a fabulous dinner at the Reata, followed by a great show by Lyle Lovett at Bass Hall. Then we met up with some friends at the Flying Saucer. Here's a picture of us at the Flying Saucer.

We also celebrated Tim's birthday with our friends at yet another evening of Wednesday night music at 8.0s. Yes, I made him blow out the candle on a cupcake.

As most of you know, Tim is a pretty good golfer. We took a turn at Putt Putt with a few folks. Needless to say, I was not the big winner. But I did get to play on some of the statues.

We rounded out the month with a trip to Florida. I was supposed to travel to Melbourne through Atlanta. This particular evening, Atlanta was experiencing massive thunderstorms. We circled forever and were finally diverted to Columbus, GA. There we sat on the plane for at least an hour or two. The ground crew came out to refuel the plane. Something went wrong, because they were pumping fuel in one place and it was flowing out of another. I could see this from my seat. Then I got to watch the hazmat crew clean the spill. Finally made it back to Atlanta only to learn there were no more flights to Melbourne. But I could go to Orlando...if they could locate a flight crew to take us. Tim picked me up at in Orlando at some wee hour of the morning. I had checked a bag plane-side in Dallas (done by hand, no computer scanned tag). Given everything that had happened, I didn't think I had a prayer of seeing it again. But it was one of the first ones down the chute. Here's a picture of us enjoying the beach. It's one of those shots where you hold the camera out in front of you and hope it turns out.

In August, we headed to Tennessee to collect my boat and a couch. He was a real trooper.
To be completely honest, I can't remember what we did from September - November, other than continue to have fun and grow closer.
In December, Tim joined us girls in Las Vegas for the NFR. His flight was horrible. They made it half way then had to turn around because some poor old lady was having heart issues. If she was that fragile, why exactly was she going to Vegas? Really! Anyway, he finally made it and we had a great time. He's a picture of a few of the girls.
In December, we traveled to San Antonio to have Christmas with Tim's mom. He even remembered to get a present for my "child." He earned a lot of brownie points for that! Here she is with her new hedgehog.
I flew to Tennessee for the rest of the holiday. Tim once again earned brownie points for "baby sitting" Morgan for a week by himself. He was quite proud of this achievement. When I made it back, Tim and I then headed to Lorena, TX to have Christmas with his dad. Here we are opening some gifts.
Tim then took a little time to read to his niece, Claire.
That's about it for our first year. More to come...
