Yes, it’s been a long time since I’ve posted. As most of you know, I have a little “project” in the works and will be taking some time off work very soon. So my co-workers have kept me pretty busy until the past few days.
So on with 2007!
January found us still living in the apartment. We were starting to look at our house options, but didn’t have any plans to move until late spring or early summer. This year, we actually had some snow on the ground. The pups got a chance to play in it.

January found us still living in the apartment. We were starting to look at our house options, but didn’t have any plans to move until late spring or early summer. This year, we actually had some snow on the ground. The pups got a chance to play in it.

In February we got to meet our new nephew Ben. He arrived in January, but we didn’t invade until a few weeks later! Tim fed him while I watched. I have this thing where I don’t like to hold little ones until they can support themselves. I feel like I am less likely to drop them when they are a bit bigger.

My parents also took a turn holding Ben.

March brought Cinco’s 2nd birthday. We had cake of course! I will use any excuse to get cake!
Tim’s business unit was purchased in March as well. The new company was based in Amarillo. A move was possible, but I wasn’t too thrilled about the new location. Before he started with the new company, we took a long weekend and went to Santa Fe. We stayed in a very cool little bungalow with a wood burning fireplace in the bedroom. Very romantic!
In April, we ventured south to be parade judges at the San Antonio Battle of Flowers Parade. It was truly a unique experience. Here’s a picture of the parade with the Alamo in the background.
While we were there, we got to see Ben. He was growing like a weed!

I also stared volunteering at the Texas Motor Speedway. I help with the 3 big races, 2 are NASCAR and the other one is an Indy Car race. On race weekends, there are a handful of us that help with all of the VIPs (race sponsors, entertainment folks, etc.). We don’t get to see a whole lot of the actual race, but more of the behind the scenes stuff. I was amazed at how many people it takes to actually put on one of these big races.
May brought about the glorious day when we were able to move from the apartment into our new home. It took a while to find it, but it was worth the wait. My mom visited to help us with the move. I know she must be tired of always visiting during the move week! We will do our best to stay put for a while this time! This was taken a week or two before it was finished.

After we moved in, we headed west to join our friends Mike and Malinda in Abilene for the Western Heritage. It was a little rainy, but fun was had by all! Here are the boys taking advantage of one of a display mannequin. Notice that Tim is behaving himself. Mike and Jeffrey, well…
Back in Fort Worth, we attended the first annual Vaquero Prom. Sort of like Halloween but with a specific costume theme! Sara and I bought the bluest eye shadow and reddest lipstick we could find. That red lipstick didn’t come off all that easily! I convinced Tim to at least wear a costume type shirt. I found a shirt I bought on eBay that he could button. It was tight, but worked. He changed back into regular Tim as soon as this picture was taken!

And here are some of the girls: Malinda, me, Diane, and Sara.
Our niece Maggie made her appearance in June. Here she is with her very proud dad, Brad.
