Catching Up!

OK... I am the proud owner of one of the new iPads. Yeah for me! I hope this will make posting easier. So I will do it more often.

Let's see... There's Thanksgiving, Christmas, Knoxville trip, Valentine's Day, and a few other things.

Thanksgiving was fun for us. I prepared my first official turkey dinner. Two days of cooking. Now I know all the work my mom and grandmother did while I was blissfully enjoying doing nothing! Wow. The cooking was fun, the dishes were hell. But I can't wait to do it again. Poppy Bill and Mema Sharon, my folks, joined us. Those are the names Grace gave them. It was warm and great weather. Grace enjoyed some finger painting.

Painting more than her fingers...

The main headliner... The turkey

Maybe a budding chef? Or just a kid who wants a bite of biscuits that were made from scratch?

Now on to Christmas. We were supposed to celebrate in San Antonio. We made it almost half way and had to turn back. I had a sinus infection but didn't know it. The pressure was so bad it made me nauseous. Not a good thing for someone who already gets motion sick! Poor Tim was a trooper.

While Mema Sharon and Poppy Bill were here, we also had a little bit of Christmas.

Presents from Oma Gretchen, Grandpa Danny, Uncle Greg, Aunt Teresa, and cousins Blake and Claire. She still wants to wear the hat on some days!

I was still under the weather on Christmas Day, so Tim took Grace to the Ice show at the Gaylord Texan. It's amazing what they can do with ice! This was the smallest jacket they had. She waddled like a penguin.

Love the ice Christmas tree.

Next up in January is the Fort Worth Stock Show. We joined Tim at one of his evening events. She wasn't too sure about this big fella at first.

But after a few nudges from him, she decided he was just a very very big version of Cinco!

After the big boy, no fear of the little one.

Later in the month, Grace and I headed to Tennessee to celebrate Aunt Jackie's life. We had a great visit. One day it was warm enough to head to the local park where I played as a kid. Swinging.

Sliding.

And horseback riding. Actually, I think mine is a horse and hers is a duck. But still lots of fun.

February brought Valentine's Day. Poppy Bill sent flowers. She couldn't wait to get the hedgehog out of the flowers.

She's saying nose and showing her nose and its nose. Very cute!

Helping Dad wash the cars a few weeks ago. Bubbles are a lot of fun. I think she ended up with more bubbles on her than on the car. Making all of the bubbles.

Love bubbles!

Washing the car... A little. I think she washed the same spot 10 times.

I think that about does it for us for now. More to come. And soon. Love the iPad!
