Grace is 9 Months Old

Yes, we are still here. Time just flies during the holidays, especially when you travel. And travel we did. Grace's first time on an airplane. She was a perfect traveler. Not anything like her mom. Luckily, she has not inherited my motion sickness. Very luckily! I don't think Tim could handle it if we both had it. He would forever be forced to the back seat!

Here are her updated numbers:

She's still tall, but not so heavy. She has been eating more food and less formula. She's actually down to only one bottle of formula - at night before bed. Other times, she's much happier with food. She's even chewing. Pieces of banana and cooked pasta. Not crawling yet. But really wants to. She will get up on her hands and knees and rock back and forth. She can scoot backward, but the forward motion just hasn't kicked in.

Now that life is back to "normal" whatever that is, I should be able to update you on some of our recent activities.

We received a nice surprise this Christmas Eve. Snow... in Fort Worth, TX! The driving conditions were horrible. Tim had to drop the dogs off at the grandparents for a visit while we went to Tennessee. It took over double the time to make the short trip. He felt like he was in Colorado. And our flight was delayed the next day. But it was still worth it. This was one year we should have been in Fort Worth. If we make plans to stay in Fort Worth next year, you know it will be in the 70's! Doesn't the house look great!

We let Grace open a few things on Christmas Eve. She was more interested in chewing than opening. It was her package, so I guess she can do what she wants.

This was on Christmas Day in Tennessee. So far the only casualties to travel have been a toy cow and one of my hair clips. Not bad in my book. I did let her take a superman dive out of her stroller at the airport. I was sitting down and she reached for something. She plopped belly first on the carpet. I started laughing. I couldn't help it. I think I get that "laugh at falls, trips..." from my grandmother. Don't you know the people around us thought I was the worst mother in the world. She was fine and it WAS funny. Still makes me laugh thinking about it.

And a parting shot of her 2 teeth. I'm sure some of their friends will be making an appearance soon.
