Grace Rolled Over Today

Who knew such a small thing would create such joy? I haven't actually seen this monumental event yet, but she did it at daycare and Tim did see it. I'm hoping she'll feel like showing off in the morning.

We have had several firsts lately...

First roll over
First weekend away from her (first for me)
First cold, she's all better now, but Grandma Sharon now has this little gift Grace gave her

If anyone had told me how completely helpless I would feel when my child is sick, I wouldn't have believed them. But it's true. I've had concern for folks before, but nothing like this. I know it's good for her and helps build her immune system, but I still don't like it.

I'll try to get some pictures of her rolling over.

Grandma Sharon came in to visit and take care of Grace while Tim and I went to Santa Fe for the weekend. It was Indian Market and I wanted to see what it was all about. I'm glad I went, but I don't think it's something I will have to do again. I still found my items at the flea market and on the plaza.

On Sunday, we went to the ski area in Santa Fe. It was a nice little diversion. Tim actually rode his bike up to it on Saturday while I slept in and went to the flea market. When we went up on Sunday, he decided he wanted to hike to the top of this lift.

I was going with him, but a few rain drops started to fall... thank heavens! So I waited at the bottom while he went to the top. As it turned out, it didn't rain anymore. Someone must be watching out for me! While I waited, I made friends with the fattest ground squirrel I've ever seen. I gave him a bit of granola. He liked it so much he came back for more... and more ... and more. Tim finally joined me and my new little friend was not afraid at all. At one point, I thought he was going to jump right on Tim's leg.

Here we are at the overlook. It was a great view.

I am already looking forward to my next trip.
